Well, to start off, although tostada is not a taco, it’s a good brother of taco. Therefore, worth the write. Especially if we’re talking of  “Mariscos Jalisco’s” Poseidon. And by the way, this tostada truly stands for its unusual name.  

Poseidon:  To be frank, I did not know the meaning of “Poseidon.” I googled it right after swallowing the last piece of the yummy  tostada that had been nicely softened by all the seafood juices that had flown into it.  “Poseidon” is the Greek God of the Sea; considered to be one of the most bad-tempered and moody Gods. When I read this definition, I was like woww, this truly described my experience.  

The Experience: This is one ill-tempered and moody tostada! The unbelievably harmonic bite of the ceviche base, topped with rich layers of shrimp, slices of avocado and octopus spread carries you away from the gloomy East LA curbside to a cozy beach in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco locked between mountains (the tostada makes the journey too). As you’re about to sip your cold Modelo Especial, to compliment the scenic beach and the yummy tostada, the chili flavors suddenly slap you back into the East LA curbside reality. At that point your only salvation is in the cold Mexican Coca Cola bottle sitting next to you. Then you try the same voyage over and over; each time desperately  hoping that you’d last a little longer at the beach…until you’re awakened by the swallow of the last octopus piece.

Did I tell you ill-tempered and moody? Yes exactly!
